My wife Karen and I had four sons under the age of five that I shared my hobby with. The youngest son was about 18-months when he first stepped into the cold trout waters of Arkansas. Of course, Dry Run Creek, Norfork, White River and Mossy Shoal on the Little Red were top choice. As the boys got older, their friends would join us. With my fly-fishing group growing larger, making our own rods became a logical option.

Fish On! Custom Rods began with the crafting of hand-made fly rods for family and friends and transformed into employing the best components and materials. Noteworthy among them is the hand-turned reel seat made of stabilized wood. This skillful artistry in creating gorgeous wooden reel seats combined with an agate stripping guide took off, leading to the development of wood and acrylic products for home and office.
